Pre-con
Set-up Sessions
(Shameless
exploitation at its finest)
- Where to go: The SECC (Scottish
Exhibition & Conference Centre). You will need a set-up badge to get
access to the exhibit halls.
- Where to pick up a set-up badge:
Either at the MiMo (Move-in, Move-out) Volunteers Desk, outside of Hall 1
in the SECC. (Everybody, including the chairmen, signs in here.)
- Who is needed: Well, everybody
who can help. We'll be doing work requiring both physical and mental exertion,
as well as tasks requiring neither. There will be some interesting conversations
(and no, not consisting just of, "toss me that spanner, please!"),
there will probably be some giddy laughter, and there will inevitably be bad
puns. This is fandom, after all. (We'll also make sure you get
something to eat and something to drink and that sort of thing -- we don't
want you to hurt yourself before Worldcon!)
- When: Our biggest needs
for a large crew are on Wednesday, 3 August and Thursday, 4 August. But if
you're available before that (especially if you can help set up the Art Show!),
we'll be glad of your help. The schedule below gives you an idea of what we're
doing, when, and where.
