Interaction, the 2005 Worldcon, released its fourth and final
full Progress Report (PR4) on 6 April 2005.
PR4 includes a wide range of articles and information from
around the convention. Accompanying the PR will also be
the Final Ballot form for the 2005 Hugo Awards. The final ballot
process is open to all full members of Interaction who join the
convention prior to the voting deadline of 8 July 2005.
Features in PR4 include an overview of the convention site,
based around the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre,
and timings of key events. More information is also provided
on many convention activities including the Masquerade, Video
Programme, Childcare and Art Show.
Also included is an extended look back at the 1995 Glasgow
Worldcon, Intersection, and an invitation to a special reception
for those members who have attended 4 or more of the previous
7 UK and European Worldcons. Finally, PR4 includes "Interthingy",
the fourth and final in a series of fanzines by the Hugo-nominated
Plokta Cabal who will be running the Interaction fan lounge and
fan programming.
The cover of PR4 is the final in a series of four designed by
Hugo award winning artist Jim Burns, and inspired by the convention's
riverside location and Glasgow's maritime history.
US members' copies have been mailed by standard (bulk) mail. Most
non-US members' copies have been mailed by International Surface
Air Lift (ISAL) mail. A small number of copies, mostly to countries
that do not participate in the ISAL program, have been sent by
ordinary air mail. Copies of PR4 are expected to arrive with
members during April and May 2005. PR4 is also available in PDF
format for immediate download from
